Ms Safira Zainal is experienced  as optometrist with over 20 years of service in Malaysia’s public healthcare sector. Was graduated in Optometry from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 1998 and also holds a Diploma in Microbiology from UiTM in 1994. Throughout career,  had served in several major hospitals including Hospital Putrajaya, Hospital Sungai Buloh, Hospital Serdang, Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Klang, and currently Hospital Kuala Lumpur.  Expert in clinical optometry and contact lenses, further strengthened through professional attachment training at the Women and Children Hospital Adelaide, Australia in 2009.
