Dato’ Dr Khairidzan is Associate Professor in Ophthalmology at the Faculty of Medicine, International Islamic University Malaysia, and Director of Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery Services at IIUM Eye Specialist Clinic, Kuantan. He completed an international fellowship and served as Adjunct Clinical Instructor in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery at UCLA in 2008. He has published widely, delivered more than 300 scientific presentations, received seven IIUM research awards, and supervised PhD and Masters candidates in external disease and refractive surgery. He is a former participant of the Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Leadership Development Programme. His awards include the Malaysian Society of Ophthalmology Achievement Award, APACRS Certified Educator Award, IIUM Best Teacher Awards, and Best Clinical Award. He currently serves as President of the Malaysia Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Vice Chair of Malaysia Optical Council, Honorary Treasurer of the College of Ophthalmology, and MSO Executive Committee member.
