I am an Optometrist at the Department of Ophthalmology, Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah, Kedah, Malaysia, with more than 20 years of experience in clinical optometry and ophthalmic care. I hold a Bachelor of Optometry (Hons.) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and a Master of Science in Counseling from Universiti Utara Malaysia. My areas of interest include low vision rehabilitation, myopia control, contact lenses, cerebral visual impairment, glaucoma shared care, and amblyopia screening. I am actively involved in visual rehabilitation services, community eye health programmes, professional training, and the supervision of postgraduate trainees. In addition to my clinical work, I have a strong interest in the psychological well-being of individuals with visual impairment, integrating both optometric and counseling perspectives in patient care. I am passionate about advancing optometry services and promoting holistic eye care to improve patients’ quality of life.
