Dr. Caroline Binson is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Orbital Surgeon. She has more than 15 years of clinical experience in tertiary ophthalmology services in Malaysia. She currently serves as the Head of the Department of Ophthalmology at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.


Dr. Caroline obtained her MBBS and Master of Ophthalmology degrees from the University of Malaya. She subsequently completed subspecialty fellowship training in oculoplastic, lacrimal, and orbital surgery in Malaysia as well as at The Rotterdam Eye Hospital in the Netherlands.


Throughout her career, she has held various clinical, academic, and leadership positions, including serving as an Honorary Lecturer and actively contributing to postgraduate medical education. Her clinical interests include oculoplastic surgery, diseases of the lacrimal system, orbital surgery, and cataract surgery.


She is also actively involved in research, international scientific presentations, and community eye care outreach programmes, with a strong commitment to improving ophthalmic services and preventing blindness.
