Dr Zurina attained her MBBS and Master of Ophthalmology degree from University of Malaya and served as a lecturer in University of Malaya till 2010. She completed her Oculoplasty training in University of Malaya Medical Center (UMMC) and Sydney Eye Hospital in 2007.

Dr Zurina is an examiner for Oculoplastic Subspecialty Exit Exam conducted by Ministry Of Health.

 She is currently practising in Kpj Klang Specialist Hospital and a Visiting Consultant Oculoplastic Surgeon in UMMC.

She is a member of Asia Pacific Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and currently the Chairperson of Malaysian Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery under the wing of Malaysian Society of Ophthalmology
