Associate Professor Dr. Julieana Muhammed is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Medical Lecturer at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), specializing in Cornea, Ocular Surface Disease, and Refractive Surgery. She has over eight years of experience as an NSR-registered specialist and more than a decade of experience in medical education and postgraduate training. Dr. Julieana leads clinical and academic initiatives in corneal and ocular surface diseases, with research interests spanning corneal disorders, dry eye disease, and refractive surgery. She has authored numerous scientific publications, supervises postgraduate research candidates, serves as an examiner and reviewer for national academic programmes and journals, and is a frequent invited speaker at national ophthalmology meetings. Her current work focuses on corneal diseases, dry eye disorders, ocular surface health, and refractive surgery, with a strong commitment to improving patient outcomes and fostering excellence in ophthalmic education.
